Round robin group planner

Split your players into balanced groups, then see how many matches the group stage needs and how big the knockout bracket will be.

Choosing a group size

Groups of four are the usual choice: six matches per group, three guaranteed matches per player, and ties that can be resolved fairly. Groups of three are quick but leave less to separate tied players. Groups of five give four matches per player but run longer. When players do not divide evenly, groups differ in size by at most one.

Players in one group are drawn with snake seeding: seed 1 to group A, seed 2 to group B, and so on to the last group, then back the other way, so that each group has a fair mix. Read how to break ties.
