Free tournament manager for table tennis directors
A single-file program that runs in your web browser, offline. It was built for the way table tennis events actually run: several categories, groups then knockout, and different match lengths in later rounds.
What it does
- Several categories in one event. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, each with its own groups and bracket, sharing one queue of matches and one set of tables.
- Doubles. Tick "Doubles event" on a category and enter pairs; each pair plays as one team through groups, knockout and consolation.
- Seeded draws. Standard seed placement, byes to the top seeds, and a draw that tries to keep players from the same club or group apart.
- Round-robin groups with proper tie-breaks. Two points for a win and one for a played loss, then results among only the tied players. Players who cannot be separated are flagged for you to decide by lot.
- Match length by round. Best of three early, best of five in semifinals and finals, and a separate setting for the third-place match.
- Consolation bracket for players who miss the knockout or lose their first knockout match.
- Safe corrections. Edit a result and the app tells you which later matches it affects.
- Match queue. Shows what is ready to play and which tables are free.
- Practice mode. Simulate a whole event to learn the screens before the day.
- Backup and restore. Save your event to a file and reload it on another computer.
How it works
The program is one HTML file. Open it in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) and it runs on your own computer with no internet connection needed. Your event data stays on that computer, in the browser’s local storage. Use the backup button regularly, and always before closing a browser profile or switching computers.
Sharing it
You may share the file with other tournament directors. Send them the download link rather than attaching the file, so they always get the latest version.
Limits
- It is a director’s tool, not a public live-results site.
- Browser data can be cleared by the browser, which is why the backup button exists.
- It follows ITTF-style ranking, but if your governing body prescribes a different system, check before using it for sanctioned results.
